Ubuntu Edge: the first pictures of the smartphone available from Canonical

Ubuntu Touch OS was aounced last January with the promise of seeing the first devices by the end of the year. On the Inteet appeared the first photos of a (THL W8 Beyond)smartphone with the operating system from Canonical.
 
Lovers of Ubuntu, one of the most popular Linux distro and used at all, will surely be delighted in being able to see their favorite operating system in its iteration for smartphones by the end of the year.

The aouncement came last January with the public presentation of the Ubuntu OS Touch, and further details were leaked with the registration of the trademark "Edge" by Canonical, the company that handles distribution of Ubuntu. The objective voiced last January was to release some Ubuntu Touch devices later this year.

In a recent interview, Mark Shuttleworth of Canonical, has aounced the future availability of four different devices, including a high-end and one mid-range, as well as two variants with technical characteristics similar to the previous, as we read on Phandroid.

In the past few hours have been disclosed some render depicting what should be your Ubuntu Edge, just in response to an advertisement appeared in relatively veiled Ubuntu site, where you could read "The line where two surfaces meet," we can easily translate with "The line where two surfaces meet," that is a vertex, translation, in tu, Edge.

The render depicting a device aesthetically care where the emphasis is minimalist with an angular design and the logo in the center of the operating system. Ubuntu Touch OS will still be compatible with all Android smartphones last generation, although initially be supported only the last series terminals Nexus Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 with regard to smartphones, while Nexus Nexus 7 and 10 for the area of the tablet(PIPO Tablet PC) .
